The Tomesha Valley Hold consists of the only cities worth having in the Southwest area of the United States. Due to the desert nature of the area, there are vast stretches of unpopulated land between the cities which carry a certain amount of danger with them. However, the Overlord has done his best to make travel at least moderately safe for the Kindred of the area. While many concerns may be put off until a formal Court (which only happens once every five to ten years) he’s known to react immediately and viciously to any rumors of Belial’s Brood, werewolves or any thing else preying on travelers between his cities. When a gang of Belial’s Brood took up picking off Kindred between Albuquerque and Los Angeles the Overlord sent out a cell of Knights to handle the matter. The Overlord is known to reside in Los Angeles where he’s also Prince of the city. It’s far more likely that a Kindred would at least glimpse the Overlord as he often travels to the various cities of his Hold to inspect and collect tribute. However, few Kindred have actual dealings with the Overlord.

History

The Tomesha Valley was claimed by King Cornelius P. Turner by proclamation when he claimed all of western America to be his. It didn't actually become his domain in reality though until it was carved out of the grasp of the Mexican Queen. Working from Los Angeles outward, the King's oathsworn vassal Joachim Diaz carefully cleared out the elements of rabble, or those who were too loyal to the Queen, by means of persuasion, threat, the occasional forced conversion, torpor and rarely Final Death. Most Kindred care little what King or Queen claims their city and let those who were more foolish fight a battle above their heads. For the most part, dispatching the Queen's agents and watching carefully for subterfuge was all that was needed to take the lands. In fact, at first the Queen was unaware of the conquering that was proceeding rapidly. She's aware now though and absolutely refuses to allow Cornelius to extend his influence into actual Mexico. To her the battle for Tijuana is for more than just a war-torn city, it's a point of pride.
