The Highstakes Game, or "The Game" to those in the know, is an off-the-recordbooks poker game that occurs every week, every night, in a back room of The Venetian on the North Strip. The room itself is only accessible through a back parking lot elevator which is normally locked and powerless, save for when it is guarded by four men who could pass off as federal agents in any Matrix film without trouble. They thumb print the individuals they allow into the room, any who refuse the thumb print are denied access flatly. Once inside, baccarat, roulette, poker, blackjack and other, seasonal or in-test games are on the floor. All of the games present are card or dice games, there are no slots.

None of the chips are below a thousand dollar denomination, and four armed guards are at every cashier post, every entrance and every exit - even the bathrooms. Cigar clippings from the finest cigars, glasses of the finest liquors are regularly picked up by the most beautiful of eye candy, men and women alike (depending on who is in attendance on the night; you'd better believe they have an idea of the vices their "regulars" or big gamblers have). Caucasians and Hispanics are the "normal" patrons, but the occasional black businessman (or rapper) make an appearance.
