Description

The Gilded Lily is a small art gallery off of Peachtree Street in Buckhead. The front of the building is white washed brick and very unremarkable excepting the slightly used bright red door whose window is covered by metal bars whimsically lily shaped. The inside is much as you would expect a gallery to be. The walls are white, the floor is concrete with stenciling done on it, the ceiling is white and several lights dot the place to highlight pictures. Excepting the lights on the pictures, there is no other illumination. The only seating area is in a central location in the very middle of the gallery and consists of three couches in primary shades. Not far from the seating area is a planted Casablanca lily sitting on pedestal - it looks well tended and seems to always be blooming. There are no tables, no bulletin boards or any thing else. The place seems to be devoted only to displaying art and encouraging conversation - not leaving things behind.
