The Sylvan Hills area of Atlanta is best-known for being home to the Atlanta University Center or (AUC) which consists of Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University among others. The biggest tourist attraction within the area is Joel Chandler Harris' estate (called The Wren's Nest) and the West End Mall. Also, Fort McPherson is considered to be in Sylvan Hills (or East Point depending on who you talk to, since it borders both).
