History

The project was going to be the light in the dark that was the small community in Hanover Wards. It was going to give the kids something to do other than join one of the many gangs and give parents a safe place to send their kids during the afternoon when they got out of school.

Unfortunately the man handling the finances for the project disappeared about three months into the construction phase and the money for the site went with him. For the last six years the site has gone unfinished and has done the opposite that it was created to do. Now a major gathering point for the Dirt Row Boy’z a small gang in the area it attracts violence like sugar attracts ants.

There have also been a few environmental concerns raised after four cases of malaria where reported close to the site. It’s believed that the pooling water in the half built concrete ramps and bowls are breeding infected mosquitoes. This has however escaped the attention of the city board as projects like that do cost money the city of Carcosa just doesn’t have.

Description

A rusted five foot chain link fence surrounds the half completed skate park. Multiple holes line the fence and the “keep out” signs have layers of spray-paint on them. A few hard hats and old buckets still lay around from when the workers found out the next paycheck wasn’t coming and just left.

At night the sound of buzzing mosquitoes and flickering pool lights are often broken by the drum of Bass from a passing low-rider and the far too frequent gunshots.
