Sheriffs perform a hybrid job for Kindred cities--they are both investigators and enforcers. Sheriffs ensure that the rule of the Prince is abided by, and that lawbreakers are brought to justice. In this, they often share their more violent duties with the city's Hound.



Note: These are the expectations of Sheriff for Anthony Anderson's regime.


  • Sheriff investigates breaches of Law and Elysium sanctity.
  • Sheriff provides a weekly report to the Prince of the health of the Masquerade and any changes within the week.
  • Sheriff is permitted to stake or incapacitate those deemed guilty for judgment by the Prince. Furthermore, Sheriff is permitted to request the Hound to stake an individual on his behalf so long as he reports it to the Prince that evening.
