School was a bit different for you, dad did pretty well and mom worked at the local university. You were a Jewish kid going to a private catholic school. You did all the regular stuff and when your mom and dad split you dealt with it by taking advantage and growing a bit spoiled. You got some Jew jokes, but you were always pretty witty about making the other kid feel worse than you did. Though you got beat up a few times, you cleaned up before you got home so as to not tip off the parents.

You weren’t really known through junior high or high school, you did really good school wise. But not playing a sport and not being overly “cool” left you out of the party scene so you focused on getting yourself ready for college.

College was fun, you were a math major, a part of the local all Jewish frat and all around coasting through mid terms and frat parties. You started playing in the local hold-em games and that's when you met your life changing mentor. He was a financial contributor for the frat, you hit it off at a fund raiser and you made plans to swing by his regular poker game later on in the month.

Eventually you quit your job delivering pizzas and started playing the local card rooms making a living off your winnings. You were excelling at school and your social life was at its peak. You always wondered how the man was connected to so many influential people in the city, but he slowly let you in on the scoop, you had developed an almost father/son relationship with the guy so when he called you in the middle of the night sounding completely off. Things about that night were odd, hazy, the blood, and the migraine the next night. You distanced yourself from him for a while but you couldn’t quite get things out of your mind. You needed his advice, his approval and you needed it.

He gave you a crude introduction of the rules and facts regarding the world you were now in, but you didn't really need much being a ghoul. You graduated with honors but by this point the degree was completed merely because you had already put the effort into it. You used your academic background to invest your gambling earnings in various mathematical fields. Eventually you had started getting to him, proving your worth, and he felt guilty as shit because deep down you were just a reflection of him as a kid so he decided to take the proper steps towards getting you embraced.

Those investments in various mathematical ventures paid huge as the microchip was streamlined, your induction went well, your connections were slowly budding, you were getting along in the city. But then your sire slipped and an unbound gangrel took him out in a fit of idiotic frenzy. You took it pretty hard, but you took the pain and used it to re-adjust your perspective. His death became your kindred catalyst. You became an ear for the kindred populace to vent to and feed information, and a source of information for people needing to get in touch with the mortal pulse and “other shit”. Things are going good, you help the movement a great deal with financial help and you tend to be a little more lenient in giving them information for free.

Lately you’ve been thinking about making yourself easier to get a hold of maybe opening up your own back room poker room for those in the know to go when they need to know what’s going on in the city. You’ve also been contacted by your sire’s “sibling” who’s apparently just woken up, you’re giving her a hand getting adjusted to the modern world and she’s filling in where your sire left off in the mentoring area.
