Biloxi, Mississippi

On, November 14 1941 the man who has become known now as Reginald Sinclair was born in Biloxi, Mississippi to a young military couple. His Mother's name was Sharron, a member of the Army Nurse Corps. His father Matthew a common soldier drafted just after Reginald's conception. Both parents never return from the war. From infancy Reginald is given to his grandparents (mothers parents) to raise. His grandfather Guy (Gee) a veteran of world war one, his grandmother Avis, and his uncle Claude who is mentally handicapped.

As a child Reginald often travels with his grandparents to New Orleans and the Mardi Gras spending summers running wild and free with his various cousins, scraping and brawling with the other children. He attends Roman Catholic Mass on Sundays and generally leads a normal if mostly unsupervised life. He spends much of his after-school days outside the casinos peering in, and playing Three Card Monty for tourists on the street corners.

Washington D.C - The Mortal Years

On April 5, 1954 Reginald's grandfather Guy , still hale an hearty and working at the age of fifty, dies of a massive heart attack, leaving a massive debt to his grandson, ailing widow, and Claude. Reginald is forced to drop out of school to work full time. He takes on whatever laborer jobs he can find, an his relatively big size and easy strength help him pass for older then his mere thirteen years of age. The loss of his grandfather is keenly felt in the tiny family and in August of the same year his grandmother Avis dies, leaving only Reginald to care of uncle Claude.

May 9, 1960 Reginald marries his childhood sweetheart Porsche. He is nineteen she is eighteen; it is a shotgun wedding. Nine months later his son Walter is born. Seeking a better life for baby Walter, Reginald moves Claude to live with family in New Orleans and the newly married couple moves to Washington to live with Porsche's aunt and uncle. They live with the family for a short time before they are forced to find their own home. The couple tries to cope with the stresses of dealing with a new baby and now attempting to make their marriage work. Reginald seeks ways to make more money, to provide diapers and food to his wife and child. He takes up boxing outside of his work as a bouncer at various clubs around town.

He's good at boxing, having reached his full height of six-foot-five inches tall, he has a long reach, and years of hard labor jobs have given him a natural strength and stamina to excel at the sport. The problem is that he is not very fast. So although his heavy punches earn him somewhat of a reputation the money just isn't there. When Reginald is approached by local mobsters to be a heavy for them, he accepts the work. For a brief time everything seems to improve. The money he makes pays for the diapers, the baby food. They are able to pay for a babysitter and it's possibly during one of these nights of freedom that Porche conceives their second son Aaron.

March 14, 1966, he bludgeons a man named Louis Healey over an unpaid debt, putting the man in the hospital; Louis later dies from his injuries. And the police start an investigation into the incident. Reginald is charged with battery, assault ,and possession of a switchblade. He spends the next five years in prison. Porsche moves back to Mississippi with the two boys Walter, and Aaron and files for divorce. She tells friends he is not the same boy she married. He's cruel and abusive, the years of violence having hardened him to any empathy towards his fellow man. Reginald refuses to sign the divorce papers.

February 4, 1971, released from prison, he follows Porsche to Mississippi, and after threatening phone calls, and showing up at her door demanding to see his children and reclaim his wife, Porsche files a restraining order against him. She's saved from further problems due to his increased debt to the Mob in D.C. He's forced to return and continue his work there to repay old gambling debts. He takes up secondary work as a bouncer; he has a few girlfriends and conquests over the next four years but never anything serious. There are a few rumors of rape but no charges are ever filed. He continues to send letters and gifts to his children, but stops all contact with his estranged wife.

Washington D.C. - The Vampire Years

June 20, 1975 while working as a bouncer he takes an interest in a woman named Isobel Sinclair. She's different then his other conquests and when he attempts to be rough with her she slaps him down. Enraged, they brawl and after a semi-violent courtship, she embraces him. His neonate years are cruel by some standards: he's treated as not much more then a special retainer by his sire. He handles her security staff, and hurts who she says to hurt. An eccentric by many of the Estate standards, Isobel is highly paranoid and starta to see her child as a threat. He works for the city's harpies unofficially, threatening or bulling anyone who is not speedy in repaying their debts if they need physical prompting.

June 20, 1981, exactly 10 years later after petitioning the prince, Reginald is allowed to declare himself released. Isobel fights his release, but is overruled by her sire the Alder Sinclair. She continues to cause problems until she suddenly vanishes from the public eye. Shortly thereafter Reginald takes over her holdings, with the blessing of his Grandsire. There are rumors of foul play but it's not investigated and assumed she entered torpor. She had become extremely eccentric and most figured it was about time. Upon his release he takes the name Reginald Charles Sinclair the second, with the Alder Sinclair being the first.

The next few years sees a remarkable change in this normally violent man. Under the tutelage of his Grandsire, Reginald is groomed for the Invictus. He learns fencing, and what etiquette he does manage to pick up is during this time. He's made to complete his schooling, and develops a love of Italian renaissance paintings and reads the Divine Comedy after falling in love with the paintings of Dante's Inferno. He's beings to emulate the Alder Sinclair in his mannerisms and behavior.

July 22, 1985 Reginald is accepted as a full member of the Invictus and within the year takes up the function of soldier. To repay his Grandsire he swears an Oath of Defense to him. He continues to work on his speech to hide any trace of his prior foul vocabulary. To those who remember he is still little more then a thug in a suit, but he works hard to establish an cultivate an image of a cultured and civilized kindred. In a bid to cast off the old fears an images he begins to host parties. Wild orgy-like affairs. Many of the Estate don't participate but the larger Carthian population does.

July 28th, 2009 - Carcosa Tired of the old faces, and still plagued by rumors of 'what really happened to Madam Isobel' from the other Invictus, and struggling to advance in the Estate due to his strange upbringing, the Alder Sinclair and the younger decide that Reginald would be better served establishing himself in a new city. He takes the advice of his retainer Christian he packs his things and relocates to Carcosa.

Journal Writers

Christian Candela

Apparent Age: 28 (56)

Concept: Deemed too flamboyant for television anchormen, Christian has lived his life behind the scenes as a string puller. He attended Carcosa University in the early seventies, and then moved to Washington D.C to begin his career. Coming to Carcosa was like coming home to him. It's possible he even suggested the city to Reginald. He is Reginald's second retainer.
No Photo Yet Neil Bamburg

Apparent Age: 40 (74)
Concept: A hardened ex-police officer. Neil was a paper pusher at a desk, retired from years on the beat when taken in by Reginald. He was devoiced, an drank too much. Although too old now to work in his office he still has plenty of strings an favors to call in if needed. He is Reginald's very first retainer. He has been offered and declined the embrace by Reginald in the past.

No Photo Yet Kyle Jackson (The Rookie)

Apparent Age: 25 (25)
Concept: One of those cops who ride the rails between good an evil, dipping more towards evil then good. Kyle deals with the streets and undercover operations in gangs then he does in police politicking. His writing style is the most vulgar and crude compared to the others. He has pride vice and it shows. He is the first of Reginald's Carcosa ghouls.

No Photo Yet Maryanne Devereau

Apparent Age: 28 (28)
Concept: The newest addition to Reginald's staff. Maryanne has no other family in Carcosa, except for her pet house cat. She works graveyard shift at the morgue and was one of those teenagers fascinated by the macabre and the grotesque. She was a low level intern and on the borderline of being evicted when she was taken on as staff. </td>
