The Area
Plymouth Point is a magnificent area, where corporate kingpins and old money families have lived since they came to Carcosa. While the rest of Hawthorn Point is mostly tailored to what they call "new money", Plymouth is catered to those with relaxation and comfort in mind. Those individuals lucky enough to be living in Plymouth are some of the most influential and wealthy citizens of the city. They're estimated to own around seventy percent of all Carcosian land and business rights, which may be a low-ball figure, since some paperwork just isn't accessible.
One does not buy a home in Plymouth Point without the PPHA (Plymouth Point Homeowners Association) accepting the application, which can take upwards of two to three months. Since such stringent methods are required, the closed-society has become as much of a mystery to outsiders as one would expect. Furthermore, there aren't that many actual homes in Plymouth Point; the ones that are present are so excessively large that the majority of the land has been completely taken by their monolithic estates.
There are few businesses as the Point is mostly residential, but there are a couple of grocery stores, general stores, gas stations and golf courses. The visual of the area is similar to the rest of the island, and cobblestoning continues along the streets in sloping and curving red rivers. Automatic sprinklers on every lot and place make sure that all vegetation and shrubbery looks as though it's professionally landscaped daily (which it probably is) and even the rocks lying about have been placed tastefully, in some sort of aesthetic design.
