Description
Pinewood Park is the diamond of the nicer side of Cabbagetown. It’s small, very small actually. The park only takes up only about a city block – probably because that’s the entire city is willing to give over to nature. The park is unique from most other parks in Carcosa in that it has trees.
The tall oaks and pine trees shade the concrete paths that wind under them all year long. The grass in the park runs a little high but all in all, it’s not badly tended. At any time of day or night there can be seen people walking their dogs or joggers running through the park.
It’s a dog park and any step off the concrete paths may lead to disaster for footwear but it seems most people try to clean up after their pets. Several canisters are set at intervals along the paths for dog droppings.
Even at night the paths are well lit and few people make a point of staying away. It seems that the safety that comes from watching their own extends especially to this park.
