The valley is a city which had the potential to be the bastion for Arizona, and nearby territories outside of California, in telecoms and technology advancement companies. Potential... right. Then there was that whole local economy collapse. The Kindred accidentally caused that. By overdrawing the influence in the fledgling financial sector of the city, it’s flocking low-income families couldn’t keep up with the inflating prices of homes and before too long, skeleton suburbia littered the landscape, feeding no wheat to anyone and irritating those who claimed tithes from it’s denizens. Luckily, the ruling Carthian Gestalt have been able to tourniquet the bleeding of the financial sector, so that the local economy is recovering, but not before losing a substantial amount of their sway in the process. The unfortunate choice of the collective cost the Experiment some membership either through turn-coating (which has it’s own problems attached) or fleeing to another city, but the covenant showed some degree of resiliency in not falling apart in the process. Now, they seek to rebuild, offering assistance to those in the Hold in exchange for some of their own needs.
