Cruac, Level One Ritual

Reference: Player-Made

Description

With this power, the Acolyte can bless specific objects with the power to quickly be called over great distances to her side at a word’s notice. The item materializes initially as a gelatinous blood-red blob, but within the round will quickly form to become a solid object. Naturally, such things could easily be a Problem wherein the Traditions are concerned...

System

The character must cover each item that she wishes to be able to make the passage to her side in blood, completely, and it must be an inanimate object. A good size to blood chart is two vitae (though it need not be hers...) per size, but no larger than size 4 – thus a large sword could be called to her side, but a motorcycle could not.

Once the blood dries (which generally takes an hour), the acolyte can then ask for the blessings from her gods (which requires the normal 1 vitae expendature and roll) and chose the word or phrase that she wishes to utilize in order to command the passage of her object to her in the future. At the ritual’s completion, the dried blood on the item will crack and flake away to ash.

Once this preparation has been done for the item in question, the character may use her chosen word (or passage) at anytime for the item, in order to call it to her as an instant action. The item in question may be called to anywhere in her line of sight. For instance, a sword could be called to her hand, or a chair could be called to rest behind the feet of a character’s guest to be sat in.

Characters may only have a number of summonable items at one time equal to her dots in Cruac and the only way to be rid the enchantment on an item is to destroy it (unless other methods outside of the norm are found...). Objects carried that are enchanted by this cause the carrier’s aura to sparkle with magic, regardless if they themselves know Cruac or not.
