Nickoli grew up in Philadelphia spending all of his time in books always striving to learn all that he could. Since he could read he couldn't stop, he always had a lust for knowledge and learning more. Although, being a kid always having his head in a book he always found himself fitting in with some unlikely sorts. Even as different as he could be he always found a way of fitting in as he grew older. This unique way of approaching people didn't stop him from developing enemies. A hatred of the small minded individuals had developed within him. Even as his friendships faded he found a fascination of people. This new fascination would make Nickoli appear to be a quiet individual, a misconception of him studying his new acquaintance. His hatred and new activity grew with change of enviroment to the University of Pennsylvania.

As he attended the University, majoring in psychology and minoring in philosophy, he had found himself a new love, the library. Everyday he could be found in the library reading somethings new, he couldn't learn enough, he always needed to learn more. He had practically lived in the library until they just gave him a job. His college lifestyle basically put was being at the top his classes, being in the library and the occasional conversation with classmates. Nickoli Delved into the deepest parts of the library finding many books not touched in many, many years. As much as he loved where he was and what he was doing he had needed a change, a new enviroment and source of knowledge, a place to leave the library for actual interaction. He eventually obtained his PHD in psychology which led him to a crossroad of where to head next.

Unsure where to go next, his opportunity came to him in the library. A very old man, apparently a friend of his current boss, approached him about a job opportunity in Atlanta to upkeep his private library. His crave of knowledge led him to take the trip to Atlanta to continue his path to obtain what he desired most of all from different sources. He had obtained the job of upkeeping a private library filled with rare books, a dream come true to him. As he had started reading these rare peices of literature he started to find that many things appeared to be false. The books claimed rediculous obsurdities, Nickoli couldn't resist investigating the claims the books had claimed. He spents months researching one after the other and everytime what he had found had shocked him. He knew he had to keep this job. A secret world he was uncovering, he couldn't get enough.

As Nickoli uncovered a secret world within the private library he had continued on the path of psychology and philosophy in a classroom. He had decided to take some classes in the fields that he loved. In doing this is what changed his way of thinking far more than he had ever thought in the private library. Within the Modern Philosophy class that he had taken there was one man that stood out to him, he was known as DJ. He knew that there was something different about this man but he wasn't sure what. They had ended up talking very in depth about philosophy, an intellectual conversation he had not participated in all of his years of existence. These conversations had continued over various sessions. This friendship led to something he had never thought possible, the embrace.

The first month of his embrace was shaky as he had a bit of a difficult time adjusting. At first he was quiet, not talking much, just trying to learn and take everything in. This shy behavior led to not the greatest kick off of relationships with other kindred. A common surprise was the notable difference between him and his sire that most kindred had commented on. Most notably a bit of an indifference with Simon Shea, a prominent Carthian, who didn't think too well of Nickoli. Eventually, however, he broke out of his shell and started making a name for himself. The more public known niche he had carved was his studies of the occult. Actual implements of his occult knowledge are not public knowledge.
