Description

The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, (MARTA) is a public rapid-transit system that serves parts of Metropolitan Atlanta, including the city of Atlanta, Fulton County and DeKalb County. MARTA operates a network of bus routes linked to a heavy rail rapid transit system. The MARTA acronym is pronounced as a single word, not as individual letters.

For over 25 years, the MARTA has been serving the community; not only through transportation and environmental challenges, but also through community and charitable efforts.

This channel actually represents any one of the stations on the system, or even a train itself, as a character needs.

MARTA's rail system operates from approximately 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 5 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. weekends and holidays.

Trains run approximately every 10 minutes on weekdays during rush hour, and will run approximately every 5 minutes from Lindbergh Center Station to the Airport Station. Trains run approximately every 20 minutes on weekdays during midday service.

On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, trains operate at approximately 20 minute intervals.
