Description

The fact that it is located in the more ritzy part of Downtown already hints at the Mandarin's pedigree. Two bouncers stand on the outside, ensuring that those who enter follow the strict dress code. Once you step inside, you know you have entered a cocktail bar catering to a more up market clientele. Its charm, perhaps, is in its intimate size. A small round bar is the centerpiece of the dark cosy room, illuminated by blue neon light. Placed around it are chairs and tables, along with booths in the furthest corners and at the back is the V.I.P section. This section is guarded by a hulk of a man, black, bald and with a tattoo on the top of his hairless head resembling something of an 'angel wing'. The V.I.P section is spacious, with its own bar, and the design allows those outside it to peer inside and watch with envy.
