Known Information: Lycia considers herself the Mother of Monsters and to her each and every Acolyte is one of her monsters. If any thing is able to unite the cults in Sacramento (and perhaps beyond), it’s respect and sometimes even love for Lycia. She has a habit of giving advice, often unsolicited, to any one she thinks needs it. Her decisions made on behalf of the city are at turns wise and unfathomable; every important decision is reached not after consultation with others, but after a solitary commune with the Crone. Despite her tendency to advise (bully) others, she tolerates no one questioning her own decisions. Outside of the covenant she’s sometimes known as “the snake lady” due to her tendency to adorn herself with live snakes. In general, the non-Acolyte members of the city keep a respectful distance from someone who is (to their eyes) clearly insane.
Rumors: The Crone is an actual person, maybe Lycia’s sire or maybe the Gorgon herself and this is the real power-behind-the-throne. Lycia has a haven full of venomous snakes that are trained to attack any one that enters. At dawn she turns into a snake. Lycia once turned a man into stone with a glance, giving truth to the fact that she’s Medusa’s own childe. She requires all her male ghouls to be castrated. If Lycia gives you advice and you don’t follow it, she’ll curse you and you’ll fall victim to the terrible circumstance her advice would have caused you to avoid.
