When all the trees have been cut down,

when all the animals have been hunted,

when all the waters are polluted,

when all the air is unsafe to breathe,

only then will you discover you cannot eat money.

Description

She's small and skinny, but there's a power that belies her every movement. Her hair is dark, wavy, and loose about her face, and her skin is a few shades darker than the usual Caucasian. Her clothes are all modern--jeans, camisoles--and while there's a mournful silence about her, as though she's been around too long and seen too much, that same silence seems to say that you should watch your fucking step around her.

Beginning of the Game Information

Laura Mankiller is one of the oldest Kindred in the city of Atlanta. She is the grandchild of the Crone Elder that so terrified the early settlers of Atlanta, though she merely acknowledges this with a cryptic smile – she doesn’t boast about it in the least. Mankiller is distinctly Native American, and spends a good deal of time among “her people,” though she manages to remain somewhat active in Kindred society as well.

As the Hierophant of the Crone, Mankiller was an important part of the Carthian’s alliance with the Circle of the Crone, though how much she believes in it remains unknown. She supports the alliance as much as can be expected, though she seems to be more cerebral than her sire and grandsire.

Mankiller is rumored to be quite proficient with the gifts granted by her Gangrel blood and the sorceries of her covenant. She can be quite a terror in a fight, but she rarely fights. Likewise, though she remains a part of Kindred society, she isn’t a political genius or much of a socialite. Nonetheless, she continues to guide the Crone to prominence as best she can, and does so with quiet determination.

Mankiller is rumored to be closely allied with the werewolves of Atlanta. Some claim to have seen her running with a pack, wearing the form of a wolf. Others suggest that she actually has ties with a secretive group of mortal magicians. Still other rumors suggest that she knows the resting place of her grandsire, and is working with anyone and everyone she can find to work a great ritual to rouse him from torpor. The last is the rumor that most terrifies the Kindred of Atlanta… though even more terrifying is the suggestion that her grandsire could already be awake and walking among the Kindred.
