OOC Note: These laws are not printed anywhere in the city! There is something that is, however, as a regular, reoccurring Advertisement in the Carcosa Journal Newspaper, which is common IC knowledge. You can view that here. Knowing of the reoccuring advertisement does not mean you automatically know what it means, however. That takes some figuring out.

While under the jurisdiction of the Childer of Diomedes’s Prince Kien Zhao requests that you understand four specific things:

The Traditions in their interpreted form.

The Masquerade is the Masquerade.
If you break it, you will be punished by no less than five attackers in a gauntlet. Serious offenses will be dealt with no less than a myriad of swords until the violator is eclipsed.
The Embrace is granted by permission.
Those who are unconstructive may not embrace. Those who embrace without permission will be punished by no less than five attackers in a gauntlet.
The Amaranth is vile.
Those who partake will be destroyed by a myriad of swords.
Adherence to the law of the Consilium for the betterment of all of our kind.
Those vampires that live within the boundaries of the Consilium of the Carcosa shall provide census date concerning their demographics and population upon demand by one who bears the right and proper emblem of the Consilium. The Consilium has the authority and the mandate to mediate vampire disputes, investigate vampire disturbances and create and enforce laws that directly affect those vampires under the jurisdiction of the Consilium. The Consilium may demand service from the vampires of Carcosa as it sees fit following a majority vote of the Councilors concerning the same.
None may touch the Hierarch. All must maintain one plant in their residence, and must care for it daily. None may kill during a Solstice. All must bear two gold coins in-hand when traveling to or from Hawthorn Point.

The Lancea Sanctum are Outlaws.

Their membership is to be forever-more punished for their villainy and fanatical ways.
The Lancea Sanctum may not have more than four members of their covenant in the city and two total ghouls owned at any time. Any violation of this will require that the new is destroyed by a myriad of swords along with one of the four Kindred and one of the ghouls.

We Honor the Honorable Dead.

All Courts and Events must be started by Honoring the Dead.
All Kindred must attend Court masked to properly honor the Dead who paid the ultimate cost.
All Events must have five minutes of donned masks to properly honor the Dead.

Problems are your problems, not our problems.

Kindred problems are their own, they should not be brought on all of us.
Kindred who go out of the jurisdiction of the Childer of Diomedes’s Prince Kien Zhao and bring back problems that threaten wrath upon all Kindred shall be punished by no less than five attackers in a gauntlet. Serious offenses will be dealt with no less than a myriad of swords until the violator is eclipsed or, offense-based, succumbs to the Final Death.

What makes the man can break the man.

Retainers are property, property have no official rights.
Retainers are expected to be branded on wrist or on throat - the common feeding spots for a Kindred. Property who are not claimed and are violated are not the problems of the court.
Lords are important, and recognized as a necessary element to keep order, but are not untouchable and sacrosanct.
Lords of our Territories are given many liberties to deal with the vassals of their land how they wish, but they must make themselves publicly known in order to do so. It is expected that, as a term of service to the city and it's vassals, Lords will regularly make appearances at societal functions and Elysiums in order to promote regular interaction. Lords who do not see fit to make themselves regularly available will be warned, and on reoccurring events and problems, will have their territories removed, forcibly.
