Mortal Days
Little Katie was always the show-boat She would sing and dance in the kitchen to the radio and get into everyone's way, and when kicked outside for all her racket, she had a piece of chalk and the sidewalk was her canvas.
In highschool she wore black turtlenecks, black jeans cats eye glasses and hung out in the coffee shops with the other ‘cool cats’ of the jazz scene. Once in college the whole coffee shop scene dragged a little. She looked for more mind expanding pastimes. It was a blues musician named Bobbie who first took her to a speakeasy and from there it became one big party after another.
1967
It was this social life that first attracted her sire to her. Kate had a knack for finding the best parties, the best drugs and she had connections. Everything her daeva sire Dorian Wells looked for. After careful concideration and some placation to the Lancea Santcum Kate was embraced, and underwent creation rites.
1972
Kate is released by her sire, with a small party given to his sire's closest friends. Much to her dissapointment as she would have preferd a much larger shindig.
1977
With the rumors of people getting sick, Kate turns her party skills into something useful. She begins to carefully select a few healthy mortals and their friends as a stable feeding base. Useing the pretense of 'safe' parties she's able to feed in relitive ease. However as the sickness spreads it gets harder and harder to keep her small group safe. She turns to other kindred for financial help and is turned down again and again. Finally finding the funding she needs with Lili Wu. This small bit of generosity would eventually change the course of Kate's requim.
1980
Kate's herd contiunes to grow and expand dispite or becouse of all the problems with mortal health and safty. Kate begins to feel the pressures of attempting to maintain her massive herd on what little income she makes selling her work or some of the works of her artist friends. There is just not enough hours in a night to do everything she needs done. She turns to philosphies to try to find the answer, and finds the teachings of Karl Marx.
Finally takeing an intrest in covenents Kate turns to Lili Wu once again and joins the carthians. Her reasons are many but the safty network of a group with similar belifes is one of the largest decideing factors.
