Description

Jack's Auto Body Repairs Shop is set on a dilapidated corner lot in East Point, one of the few places in the immediate area with grass. Of course the grass is brown, dying and fenced into the lot where there are cars parked in various states of disrepair and decay that may or may not be for sale. The signage of the building is at least 50 years old, advertising oil changes and tire repair for prices just slightly higher than the local chain auto repair shops. While no one is really sure who Jack is everyone nearby knows that Jack's Auto has been there forever and it's a great place to get cheap used parts (though, admittedly, possibly of questionable origin).

The customer area is dusty, greasy and smells like oil and gasoline, decorated with one torn vinyl seat and a calendar of babes in bikinis on Benzes. There's a few old parts books on the cracked counter and a price listing for basic repair services. The owner, Lorenzo, a large balding man about 60 years old or so, isn't the most personable man in the world, seeming to prefer conversation about taxes and "forners" to car talk.

The actual garage is in the back, accessible through the back door of the customer area or a car port down a gutted path driven through the lawn. The back is in no better state of repair than the front is; cars, parts and tools lying around seemingly disregarded.

Benefits

Minor

Well, the good thing about coming here often is that you know the few greasemonkeys by name, as well as Lorenzo. It’s a good place to hang out, and they don’t mind too much if you’re just loitering either.

Can sell one car a week at 40% base rather than the normal, since people with broken cars are much more likely to be looking for a new one; +1 Crafts

Sizable

Having been around long enough for the boys to be comfortable with you, you don’t even get shooed off when unmarked trucks come pulling up anymore. Now, you know that Jack’s is just a front for selling parts that come from a nearby carjacker/chop-shop criminal ring.

Can sell one car a week at 45% base rather than the normal, since people with broken cars are much more likely to be looking for a new one; +1 Crafts; Can purchase cars and car modifications at 10% off their base price (however it’d be wise, probably, to get those VIN numbers “misplaced” if you’re planning on getting any speeding tickets)

Uncontested

You’ve been around long enough and helped them offload enough that you’ve gotten yourself a little bit of a following in and around the neighborhood. You’ve given them some pretty good tip-offs, or muscled in hard enough that no one wants to double-cross you.

Can sell one car a week at 60% base rather than the normal, since people with broken cars are much more likely to be looking for a new one; +1 Crafts; Can purchase cars and car modifications at 15% off their base price and not have to worry about them, since they’ve already been cleared of their “hotness” with the local police; Gain access to a house-special acceleration add-ons, while pricey, is not available anywhere else – literally it’s Lorenzo’s one pride and joy (Costs $35,000 but you get +50% of your original acceleration) – naturally, those who Lorenzo favors are nasty as hell on the street racing circuit.
