Mortal Life

1935

Born Dec 2nd, Ivan Szolics (Pronounced E-vahn Soul-idge) The only son of Gabor and Martila a Szolics a pair of minor country nobles in Transylvania in a villiage outside the city of Tirgu Mures. ((No they claim no connection, decent, or Lineage to Vlad Tepes or the Dragon in anyway, though Ivan's sire, Sashiana will swear that the Dragon is amazing in bed.))

1943

General Gabor Szolics is killed in action on the Russian Front. Ivan is 8 years old at the time.

1945

The Communist occupation of Ivan's home town and family estates begins, His family is divested of all wealth and standing and held up as an example of the oppressive aristocracy. Ivan, his Mother and his sister are imprisoned in a Russian concentration camp for 7 months.

1946 Jan

Ivan's sister is raped to death by the guards, Ivan is beaten nearly to death attempting to defend her. In guilt, one of the guards is kind enough to help Martila get a job serving in the country house of the communist governor of Tirgu Mures, Janos Horthy. The house turns out to be the Soulridge's old Family manor. Janos, pleased at the irony takes Martila on as a house keeper agreeing to keep Ivan safe as long as she fulfills his wishes, she does... the smaller living area of the servants quarters forces Ivan to witness these occasional events as Janos would not wish to disturb his wife's slumber.

1946-1953

Ivan receives the best education as the only male friend of Atilla Horthy Janos's only son. Martila's uncomplaining compliance even eventual submission to Janos, awards Ivan more and more freedom eventually allowing him to grow up in his own home and almost as well as Atilla. Janos Mockingly treats Ivan like nobility but never once allows the boy to forget the price being paid for his privileged status.

1954

Ivan secures a position at the University of Budapest, studying Law.

1956

Oct 23rd Outside the Budapest Radio Station, Ivan along with several other classmates marched in protest the detention of student delegates that had read their demands on the air. The AVH ((Secret Police)) Opened fire on the crowd and Ivan and his friends were pinned down under the weight of fire. Ivan charged the nearest guard miraculously being missed several times, took the mans gun and beat him to death savagely.. then shot two more guards.. the small group with Ivan Charged forward a moment latter overwhelming the guard position. Ivan had become one of the 12 leaders of what would come to be known as the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. For the next few months Ivan and his men staged countless guerrilla style attacks and he widely became one of the most wanted terrorists in the nation. His reputation was sealed the night his men raided a prisoner convoy and captured 2 soviet bureaucrats. His men wished to put them to death, Ivan refused stating that doing so would make them no better then the enemy. He invited his men to continue but stated he would no longer lead them. The bureaucrats were spared. 7 soldiers had been killed in the fighting.

By November 1956 the Hungarians had won, and driven the Soviet forces from Hungary. They eagerly awaited aid from the west, namely the United States. When the Russians realized that no aid was being sent, they invaded enmasse crushing the revolution. Ivan was captured and sentenced to death for multiple acts of terrorism, kidnapping and murder.

1957

In a daring raid, Ivan's men break him free of prison. Battered from several weeks of torture, his men try and smuggle him west, he refuses and travels first to Tirgu Mures and free's his mother. Together they flee to Switzerland and eventually America.

1958

Ivan arrives in America, the folks at Elis Island don't feel like writing Szolics .. they give him the name Soulridge as it sounded better.

1959-1966

Ivan learned with remarkable speed, mastering English swiftly and getting job on wall street in a mail room. At Night he attends college studying psychology and business. He proves to have a knack for both though his own slightly warped experiences make him less suited to the former.

1962

Dame Sashiana Soulridge awakens from a violence induced Torpor, bricked deep within Soulridge Manor. In hunger frenzy she kills 4 servants, then finds the master of the house Janos.. Rips the events of the past 30 years from his mind and goes into another Frenzy killing Janos's wife, a him. Atilla is spared and thralled... and Sashiana mourns what she thinks is the complete destruction of the Soulridge line. Her Grief results in some of the most debauched and sadistic events of her requiem.

1967

Martila Soulridge is killed in an automobile accident. At great risk to himself, Ivan takes her body and returns to Hungary to bury her at the family Estate. Ivan returns and meets Sashiana Soulridge who can barely contain her joy finding out he is alive, she manages to introduce herself as his Aunt.. and "insists" he stay with her for a while. Unable and most unwilling to refuse the beautiful woman, Ivan does so.

1967-1970

Ivan is subjected to increasingly perverse treatment at the hands of his dominator. He is used to breed at least four children that he is aware of and potentially more. His relationship with Sashiana is anything but plutonic and his mind begins to be warped steadily. He is educated in the ways of Nobility, service and rulership.. groomed without mercy to be exactly what Sashina desired.

1970

Dec 31st Ivan is Embraced.

Requiem Life

Little is known about the first few years of Ivan's Requiem. Rumors at Court often spoke of him appearing with his sire, branded, burnt, or bearing grievous wounds with a forced amount of stoicism. In 1971 he began training in the Almoners Guild of Budapest, a guild renowned for it's style, technique and alternate services. ((Budapest to this day houses the best dressed homeless population in the world.))

1975 - 1999

Ivan began his "assignments" as an Almoner. Oddly these assignments routinely take him back and forth across the Iron Curtain. He begins setting up multiple business endeavors in various major cities Including: Budapest, Berlin, Copenhagen, St. Petersburg, Cape Town, Washington DC and Hong Kong. To say he's a Nomad is technically correct but a Nomad with a Company Jet.
