House Jade's Dynastic Compact

This document is the sworn proof, written upon vellum and in the vitae of a vassal Oathsworn to the Villein, the night of the 19th of May in the year of our Lord 2009, of the union of two Kindred of Quality under the name of Jade.

The Patron of Jade, known as Her Grace Madam Josephine Blackwell-Finch of the line Arundell, Duchess and Prince of Carcosa, childe of the deceased Mister Colby Ryall, Soldier, childe of the eclipsed Mister Sebastian Fawkner, Soldier, childe of presumed eclipsed Alder Behenna Rashleigh, Speaker, childe of The Right Honorable Alder Warren Keast, Marquis of Cornwall and Councilor, childe of The Honorable Alder Conner Arundell, Earl of Devon and Advisor, will be henceforth known as Josephine of Jade formally.

The Protégé of Jade, known as Mister Baron Kien Zhao, Almoner and Soldier of the Childer of Diomedes lineage; childe of Alexander Castillo of the Ordo Dracul once in Carcosa and now of Richmond; childe of Hector Maessen of the Ordo Dracul from Richmond; childe of Abraham Wilford of the Ordo Dracul from Richmond; childe of Madam Celeste, Librettist and Senator in Richmond; childe of Alder Marcus Greenwich, Senator and Speaker in Richmond, will be henceforth known as 赵 of Jade formally.

The arrangement of Patron to Protégé within Jade is distinguished by age, right, potency and assets. Such arrangements may be fluid, like water, if upon the eclipse of the Patron the Protégé amasses greater potency and assets. The declaration of change will be determined upon awakening and appended to this document, if necessary.

The assets of Jade's Patron and Protégé are henceforth considered one.

All Retainers are to be subjected to three drinks of each master and to be trained accordingly as to their new expectations.
- The Retainers priorly belonging to Josephine of Jade as listed:
  - Blackwell, William
  - Finch, Madeline
  - LeTourno, ChrisAnne
  - Martin, Jude
- The Retainers priorly belonging to 赵 of Jade as listed:
  - Li, Lao
  - Li, Sun
  - Watts, Jessica
  - Wu, Tai
  - Xiao, Charles
  - Zhao, Yang
All properties are to be redistributed under a blanket name and falsified or obfuscated if possible against any Kindred not the Patron or Protégé of the House or their blood-bound vassals. Divulging the information of such assets to anyone not aforementioned is punishable at discretion of Jade. Such properties and holdings are expected to be, at the very least, maintained to their standard at the writing of this Dynastic Compact.
Debts collected by one member of Jade are theirs to bear and for those whom are not of the Invictus or a Kindred of Quality are not to be openly dealt with by another member of Jade. Naturally, if such debts are excessive or requiring more than the norm, it is expected that Jade will, from a state of obfuscation, aid in fulfilling the terms of the debt.

Each member of Jade will be allowed one appointed individual to watch at their discretion the actions of the other members of Jade to make sure they work in the best interests of Jade at all times. This appointed individual may not be tampered with through use of Disciplines unless granted leave by the member of Jade who so appointed them. These appointed individuals will serve as a manner of Tribunal for Jade. A member of Jade can choose to remove their individual in question and exchange them for another, so long as it is agreed upon by all members of Jade and the necessary steps concerning security of the House have been taken.

The positions of Jade in regards to the city will be based on ability and willingness to serve, rather than expectations of fulfilling certain duties long-held by other members of Jade. However, so long as there exists a member able to serve as Prince, Jade will hold Praxis of Carcosa.

Members of Jade residing in eclipse have the right to certain expectations and provisions for their period in eclipse. Provisions can be requested immediately prior to eclipse, however in the event of involuntary or unexpected eclipses the following expectations are universal:

A safe and secure haven will be provided for the resting member.
Trained and bonded retainers will be available for daytime protection.
All members of Jade will sleep in the same residence and so security of said residence should be of the utmost importance.
A substantial amount of blood will be provided upon awakening of any member of Jade.
Within three days of an awakening a reporting of all changes in assets and city status can be expected by a newly awoken member.

The first two members of Jade are to drink each night from one another for a term of seven full nights to enforce the vinculum and protect the vestiges of the House. Any additional members will drink from the waking Patron seven nights in a row and twice from any other Protégés of Jade, those already in Jade will drink twice from the newest addition to Jade.
