Hapeville

Since 1947, Hapeville has been home to a Ford assembly plant, recently making the Taurus. In January 2006, it was announced that it would close in 2007, taking with it a large part of the city's tax revenue. There are already plans for redevelopment however, envisioning something like the successful Atlantic Station in adjacent Atlanta, but with fast access to the nearby Atlanta Airport.
It is home to the first Chick-Fil-A restaurant. Celebrities originating from Hapeville include Jeff Foxworthy.
Hapeville is considered to be the most... "country" of the Atlanta-metro area and the police of the area routinely make domestic disturbance calls. However, all that being said, there is a large manufacturing plant for AMD Processors within Hapeville, and the Hapeville city officers have tried (unsuccessfully) to bill Hapeville as Atlanta's emerging "Silicon Valley".
