Not a lot is known about Gareth before his recent appearance on the political chess board. He arrived from Detroit in Atlanta during the winter of 1980, and was already a member of the Lancae Sanctum, just as his sire, Thomas Solomon. It was assumed that he arrived in Atlanta shortly after his embrace, seeing he was still firmly under the wing of his sire. While both Gareth and his Sire preached the word of the Dark Prophet, Gareth was quite tame compared to his sire. The actively and sometimes even violently preaching of the Testament is most likely what got Thomas in trouble after the "bloodless" coup, and was forced to leave Atlanta a few months after the coup. Gareth however remained in Atlanta, for reasons unknown to the rest of the kindred society.

Since his Sire left, Gareth wasn't active on the political chess board until recently, when he acquired the rights to embrace a childe. Since then he has been becoming more and more active. He has also sired a childe, Tanya Donovan. Recently, he has been anointed to the rank of Inquisitor, and has been seen accompanying the Bishop, Cyrus Calhoun, and has managed to gain quite a bit of status in the process. There are rumours circulating that he has spend a short time in torpor thanks to a few other kindred, but it isn't a subject he is likely to bring up on his own.
