Gaillard

This is a special post in the Sworn of the Dying Light which is generally assigned to a bright, often relatively young, Journeyman. His duty is to uphold the academic tradition of skepticism and constantly question and attack (in a scholarly and polite way) the work and thought of his betters, and to point out alternate methods of approach. A Gaillard is expected to be able to strike a balance between being proactive in her duties and respecting her superiors in the Academy.
