The Area

Gargantuan spires loom upwards towards the heavens, hosting banking headquarters and main offices of most every major retail market represented in Carcosa. Moving billboards shift through their LCD screens to display the latest news of entertainment nature, casino headlines, sexually suggestive clothing advertisements and just about anything else you can get agreed to be on a television.

The amount of money flowing in and out of this district on a daily count is enough to stagger most every person with thoughts of making it big. Casinos line the bay inlet, some both on land and some as mammoth liners anchored to the shoreline. While not as large-scale as Las Vegas, Ecclesia is trying to make it's case as a runner-up. Most every major casino company is represented along the long shoreline (and there's a notable sizable amount of Casinos with a very Chinese theme) with above-street glass tunnels going back and forth between the different casinos, while resorts pepper the nearby streets.

Prostitution is not legal in Ecclesia, but Escort Services are. The distinction is made to keep the streetwalkers from roaming too much from the North and South, and to keep the "standard" of entertainment high. It's become a right of passage to some young adults to come to Ecclesia and get a taste of all of the nightlife, so long as they can afford the prices.

As one would expect, the flow of drugs in and out of the area is major, but most criminal elements don't bring methamphetamines into the area as that tends to bring in the lower classes. Vipers, sports bike gangs, Lamborghinis and other imports along with massive amounts of Hummers roll through the streets on a nightly basis, making it the place to show off and roll rich. Concerts and events happen nightly, and on nights that the professional football team "Carcosa Tigers" are playing at their home stadium the traffic gnarls and slows more than normal, allowing for people to cruise at a top speed of about 2 miles an hour through the streets. As one would expect, this lures people who like to see shiny cars, and often groups of people line the street just to catch glimpses of things they could never possibly afford.
