Description
You descended the stairs, forked over a few dollars and held your breath. You remember: your first night at the Drive Lounge. A long-standing tradition in Carcosa nightlife (if you can brave the area), this eclectic club is anything but ordinary. An interesting change of pace, but not for the faint of heart, and definitely not for the kids. The mythology of Sand Town's most notorious nightspot seduced you in the first place, and its decadent reality keeps you coming back. The beer served in cans, the trough in the bathroom (men's only--although we wouldn't be surprised...), the dance floor sparse but occasionally has a few people misdancing to old Johnny Cash or new-school Country, the sticky air. This place makes you want to shower. And then there's the "dancers". Pinkie is the most famous, and rightly so--her large anatomical shaking act makes the cover charge a steal.
The Drive Lounge is almost a rite of passage for many Caucasian or Hispanic Carcosians (and some other minorities, but they are pressing their luck coming into this area...) crossing into adulthood. Don't go looking for the beautiful girls here, you'll be missing the point of the place. The official website is updated only sporadically, which seems fitting for this kind of place.
Benefit
Fencer's Fence. A large amount of the fencing that goes on through the southern-most stretches of Carcosa makes it way through the mouthes of one of the most reliable groups, which has a person present to talk business almost every night of the week at the Drive Lounge. Normal underworld fencing uses have their "Cost X and below" cost increased by one dot if this site's benefit is obtained.
- Note: Though the real world attempts to be as non-discriminatory as possible, the World of Darkness is not so much. Thus, characters which are Caucasian or Hispanic may enjoy a +1 dice bonus to any attempts to influence this Site. You should have a Storyteller add this bonus.
