Beginning of the Game Information

The devout Cyrus Calhoun is a notable figure in the Atlanta Kindred scene. The passionate Bishop of the Lancea Sanctum could easily be mistaken for a Daeva (or a Ventrue), but he is in fact a Gangrel. He seems to be just fine with that, and praises the Lord for damning him to have the mind of a predator, that he might better focus on his covenant’s work.

Calhoun has been a fixture of Atlanta since its earliest days, and some say that the terror he inspired in the citizens of Atlanta may have been responsible for it being “the city that’s too busy to hate.” Calhoun, of course, denies this – but the idea of a black Kindred avenging himself upon bigoted whites does certainly appeal to several of the more reactionary black Kindred of Atlanta.

Calhoun wasn’t always a Bishop – he earned the title when his predecessor was murdered by a band of werewolves – but he has, thus far, done a fine job in the position. He despises the Crones, and remains a close ally of the Invictus, though he seems to get along with their moderate faction far better than he does with their conservative faction. Calhoun is alleged to be decently proficient in his covenant’s miracles, and is respected for the passion he brings to the church of Longinus.

Of course, no Kindred could live in Atlanta for so long without rumors cropping up about them. Some rumors suggest that Calhoun secretly arranged for his predecessor to be murdered, and called upon the Crone’s werewolf allies to do it. Others suggest that he is infuriated by the fact that “upstarts” like Robert Blake have domain but he doesn’t. Still others suggest that he keeps a meticulous record of each and every Kindred haven in the city, and that he and Prince Duquette have a good working relationship built on the foundation of their race. Calhoun, naturally, does not seem pleased with these rumors and offers them no credence.
