Description

In direct competition with the Scarlet Mansion’s penchant for the elegant, Cosmopolitan has directed it’s intentions vehemently into advertising for the young, modern chic members of Atlanta. If one goes to the Cosmopolitan, one can expect a mash of fashion designers, consultants, models, would-be actors and singers on any given night.

The place itself is nestled in an unassuming looking corner spot that almost looks designed like a one floor house. Red-covered lamps adorn the brick sidewalks that lead up to the place (as well as tacky triangle signs that try to out-do each other for “safe parking for Cosmopolitan”) lending a reddish-orange hue to the sidewalks and street during the nighttime hours.

While there’s no enforced dress code, the fact that the Cosmopolitan has lured in the ultra trendy members of Atlanta, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone ever sporting a tank-top and jean shorts around. The inside is polished and kept constantly updated, endearing the place itself to those who frequent it often.

The deck outside, which is called the “Tropical Deck” is filled with lush plants, covered and kept at a steady temperature by unassuming heaters for when the weather is cold and occasionally misters (to get that “Tropical Misty Breeze” feel) that go off as well.

Regardless of all the signs that advertise “safety”, the area is still plagued by constant crime, and walking too far off the beaten path has lead many a tourist and native alike into compromising, and dangerous, situations...

Benefits

All Visitors

Like most upscale lounges, people go to see and be seen at the Cosmopolitan. Characters with Striking Looks can expect to gain more notice (which is both bad and good) and gain an additional +1 dice on appropriate rolls that Striking Looks would normally apply to when dealing with mortals.

Minor

Having regularly frequented the place, you find there’s certain trends to the people who come and go. You, being clever as you are, know how to use these trends to your advantage.

+1 Socialize; Gain +3 dice if you hunt in Midtown on Friday and Saturday nights

Sizable

You’re a regular and you tend to know the regulars. You’ve also got an extended bar-tab and don’t even have to worry about paying a cover charge anymore. All in all, you don’t have to deal with a whole lot of hassle when you’re at the Cosmo.

+1 Socialize; Gain +3 dice if you hunt in Midtown on Friday and Saturday nights; Gain Barfly merit; Hear about the latest trends in mortal society, and learn them, which allows you to offset one dice of any Humanity-based social penalty

Uncontested

You know so much about this place it’s retarded. When you’re in the house, you can expect the bartenders to comp you without hesitation, and any trouble that comes your way will also find trouble with the bouncers of the place. You’re well-liked with the staff and regulars, which goes a long way in the tight-knit social circles of Atlanta’s budding elite.

+2 Socialize; Gain +3 dice if you hunt in Midtown on Friday and Saturday nights; Gain Barfly merit; Hear about the latest trends in mortal society, and learn them, which allows you to offset one dice of any Humanity-based social penalty; 9-again on Atlanta Society-based Allies and Contacts rolls
