Chess Rules

Wits or Intelligence + Academics - Special

• If you use Wits to roll, subtract your opponent's Intelligence rating.
• If you use Intelligence to roll, subtract your opponent's Wits rating.

Whoever is the first to 10 will win the game.

Chess Variants

Chaturanga

Chaturanga's two-player rules are actually different from chess' rules in real life, but for the two-player variant use chess rules.

Chaturanga, however, can be played with four players, one on each side of the board. The four-player version is set up like bridge; play goes around the table, and players sitting opposite each other are a team and combine successes. In this variant, play goes to 20 successes.

Cheating!

Cheating is unfair! However, vampires are bastards, so it happens, tough luck.

The Auspex 4 Cheat

If used, Auspex 4 allows for successes gained on the roll to be used on that round's roll against another supernatural. Against a mortal, since you can "ride" their senses, those bonuses may be rolled each round.
