The Area
As you pull into the park, you're greeted by a decrepit brown sign plunged into the earth at an awkward angle that, under the graffiti, reads " Calmon Park, Est. 1908". The graffiti on the sign might be a relatively new thing, but the park has always been a hellhole, the demographics of who've made it such have just changed.
Casings of bullets litter the area inside if one bothers to pay any attention at all, and the large park has been a place for battleground for years and years. Mostly, the rest of the city doesn't care. "Better to let the worthless trash kill themselves off" is the general sentiment across the city for Calmon Park. And that, they do. The use of Calmon Park has rules graffiti'd into the cement basketball court:
The rest of the court has been converted into some sort of an urban battleground. Playsets are overturned with carefully placed metal sheets standing up to purposefully hide out whoever wishes on the other side. Benches are overturned and made of thick cement, and the cement fountains are almost completely covered by bullet pocketing holes from return fire at someone hiding within the empty water reservoir.
People that break the rules are hunted invariably by all of the gangs and groups that used Calmon Park, which is to say, damn near all of them.
