The Blackwell estate is nestled in the heart of Greendale, at 19 Oceanwind Drive. A large iron fence surrounds the house and grounds, although it seems more for style than function. The grounds aren't that large, mostly it's taken up by the huge house. And huge it is. Three stories of brick with two wings stretching out from the back to form a U shape. It's impossible to count from the outside how many rooms it holds.

There's plenty of parking in the eight car garage or in front of it, however there always seems to be plenty of cars. The place is by no means empty either. Domestic servants are seen coming or going often. The front doors open into a large marble foyer with stairs that curve from either side up to meet on a second floor landing, then continue up to a third as well. The house is empty of any possible clutter. The furniture and art that do exist were likely precisely placed by interior decorators. The one place that looks untouched by decorators is the conservatory. It hosts several exotic flowers as well as numerous more common ones. While it's always kept clean, it's definitely a work in progress. Yet the stone floors have hosted many a party nonetheless.

Temporary Description

Guests are let into the house and directed up the curved stairs to the ballroom by staff on hand. Doors along the way are locked, excepting a single parlor and library. The ballroom doors are open, giving view inside to the lavishly decorated room.

The ballroom itself is decorated in myriad shades of gold from white fabric shot with gold thread to antique gold almost brown. The dance floor sparkles with a light dusting of glitter while the walls are draped in gold-shot white. Around the room are bronze urns of fresh white flowers (Cape Jasmine) alternating with white urns of flowers made of hammered gold. It would be gaudy if not for the careful layering of the colors; gold-gold never appears but every other color dances around it. The minstrels' gallery is in use with a set of classical musicians who provide music and take reasonable requests. At one end of the room is a table where a few unopened gifts have been placed.
