History

The Arundell name dates back to the Norman conquest of England in 1066 where the family came to occupy West Sussex. The name itself means valley and the traditional symbol of arms consists of 6 swallows. The name became a Daeva line sometime in 1300s around the Cornwall area and stayed there until Sebastian Fawkner immigrated in 1780, hoping to benefit from the post-war economy in America. The line has always been steadfastly Invictus, or if there was a time that it wasn't, it's been covered up and lost in history. The line in Carcosa started with Colby Ryall, Fawkner's childe, however when Ryall died the line was left to his single (known) heir in America - Josephine Blackwell-Finch who seems to consider populating the line a necessity. Having received news over the years of the slow destruction of the blooded line in America, the European Arundells have finally made the long journey to America for the precise intent of looking into the preservation of the dignity of the bloodline.
