Description

The temple, like you'd expect a temple to be, is located in a lush and dense forested area a few miles from any close subdivision. The land itself seems to be unsold, and for good reason, it'd be a poor area for any kind of homes, since it's not flat and a poor area for constructionist's new buildings since it's so far out of the way.

The temple itself is actually made of a blend of mortar, rock and cement, almost like modern homes' fronts, but less cookie cutter. In fact, it looks very well made. It's a circular stone structure, not too large, and it's shaded very heavily by large oak trees and other sorts of trees you'd find in the forested areas of georgia. It looks almost like it was purposely put between large trees, and behind them.

From the outside, there is a strong scent of vitae - both mortal and Kindred alike (which has prompted some blood addicted individuals to instantly think about their latent craving) - which wafts to a person as they draw near the front. On the circular structure, there only appears to be one entrance and exit, which is a sturdy looking stone, mortar and wood door. On it's front is a simple brass plate about a foot large that looks to have been hand engraved with a simple looking double-sided axe and bull's horn filled with grain. Notably, there have been some intimidating modifications to the door itself on the outward-facing side: there is a multiple amount of sharpened rebar spikes which have been added into the door itself, threatening intense pain against anyone who'd try to forcefully press into it.

Inside of the temple there is a mammoth wooden statue (see right) that has four distinct sides, each with a different "face" upon it, and the bottom of which seems to be stained with what is probably (and is) blood. Around the statue, distanced about three feet from the statue itself is a circular ditch. Inside the ditch is broken pottery pieces, dried flowers and stems (those who can recognize flora would recognize it as jasmine) and naturally spots of blood.

On all four cardinal points of the temple - the west (back of the door), the north, south and east - there looks to be more vitae centered on these spots than normal. On the eastern wall, there are simply two pairs of meat-hooks hanging from the ceiling, about two yards from each other. They look sturdy enough to hold someone's weight without trouble. Along the southern wall, there looks to be a long-row of hand-created pottery cups, on closer inspection it looks as though there's watery-blood, which is probably exactly what the contents are (water mixed with blood to make sure it doesn't coagulate too quickly). These are of the same make that are generally found broken within the ditch surrounding the large wooden statue.

In front of the ditch and next to the statue on all four sides are what looks like twine mats, likely used for kneeling. They all have various stages of blood stain on them, though, by far, the western-side looks the most stained with blood.

Behind the circular temple structure lies a secondary rectangular structure made of the same craftsmanship as the temple itself. The walls are carefully laid with rocks and stone, with mortar to hold it tightly. There is no entrance to this area outside of going through the temple itself. Inside of this area is a small walkway leading into four small "cells". These cells are all outfitted with shackles of heavy duty steel and meathooks similar to the ones inside. Undoubtedly, these are for holding people. Past those four cells is a small sitting area with four chairs and a bookshelf that's, currently, woefully understocked. There's nothing there but vague urban legends and general shit you could find at any library.

OOC Notes

  • Size 2
  • Temple consecrated (+5 to Frenzies and resists of Majesty, Nightmare and Dominate) until September 7th, 2008.
  • Temple has trap door leading to tunnel (Requires Wits + Investigation or Larceny -5 to notice on purposeful checks - it's under the Eastern mat in front of the statue).
  • Front Door is stone and mortar, but has been modified by hand to have sharpened rebar spikes jutting out of it's outward-facing side. These spikes do lethal instead of the normal, auto one bashing damage, attributed to individuals breaking down doors and 2 dice of lethal damage should be rolled as well.
  • Front Door has Barrier Against the Blood used on it for 7 successes.
