Beginning of the Game Information

Anthony came to Atlanta in the mid-half of the 1800's, technically right after Atlanta became the railroad's terminal. At the time of his arrival he was one of the rare non-Caucasian Invictus, and many of the other covenants had never seen such. In any event, he was a standard-brew Invictus. Suits, ties, perfectly polite speech with a portent for actual humor in situations that were good for it.

One of the main things about Anthony, however, that set him apart in general from the other Invictus is the fact that he was moderate, always. He was frustratingly neutral and good at playing the Devil's Advocate, and though he never became anything more than a Almoner, if he were white, he'd probably have been a shoe-in for a Judex. Truth be told, he and Linus Walker were almost-friends, in as near as friends as one can be in such a vampiric situation, as both of them were always interested in the less-traditional sort of modern things. For one thing, Anthony refused to take ghouls - and openly informed Invictus who attempted to chide that he'd already been down the road of slavery, and he wouldn't subject another to it (which led most people to believe he had been a former slave, which is where exactly his mulatto traits came from).

It wasn't until the Carthian Movement arrived on the Atlanta "shores" that his tone began to creep elsewhere and his attention divert. With the young Kindred, as he told the other Invictus who asked about his continuous familiarity with them, he saw bright futures. He wanted to utilize them for himself, gain them as strong allies, rather than consider them "too young to be of use", so he would quite frankly invite them over for chats, debates on philosophy and political structure and general entertainment at least weekly.

Truth be told, the Invictus might have seen the warning signs of his impending departure, but none of them truly thought there was any reason for a well-established Kindred to break ties and join a self-professed "experiment".

When Anthony did break away, it was ugly. Linus Walker felt horribly, horribly betrayed by Anthony and the two still mostly refuse to speak at length. The other Invictus were split between spitting rage and "he'll come crawling back when the experiment fails". But, the latter never happened.

With the other Carthians, Anthony helped them with experience from his travels and understanding of the nature of the city. Though Anthony never took, or asked for (and still hasn't) a position within the movement, he was very much instrumental in advice giving and assisting the Carthians to grow like the kudzu vine through the influences of the city.

When the Ordo Prince went missing, the Carthians jumped all over it, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Anthony's Traits

Mental & Social

Anthony is a careful sort, but openly tends to listen to both sides of a story if he can get them. Ultimately, it's always been difficult to tell if he really cares about both sides, or if he just likes to hear what people say even though he's made up his own decision. It's quite obvious that he abhors the usage of physical violence, and not many Kindred can remember many times where Anthony's sentenced individuals to physical punishment for crimes.

Instead, Anthony tends to be a fan of punishments that have a more lasting effect. Loss of domain, holdings, retainers... all of those have been punishments given by The Collective for crimes. When asked why, he simply says "I can heal a sword wound in three seconds".

Anthony is not a vehement Mekhet from the Carthian Movement, which puts him, generally, as easier to deal with than some of his counter-parts. However, he refuses to take any sort of a leadership role within the covenant, so the point on taking Carthian affairs to him is pretty much moot - since he'll just direct you elsewhere anyway.

Recorded Sessions

This is a series of recorded transcripts and written papers by Thomas Chamberlain, a Mekhet of the Ordo Dracul, who regularly studies in the academies of Savannah and Augusta, Georgia. He has also served as Anthony Anderson’s mentor, and these transcripts are his requested payment for services rendered.

Obviously, this is all OOC knowledge, similar to a journal.
