Annunaku

The Annunaku are an impossibily old bloodline who's history spans so long that it's origins have faded into history. All Annunaku fancy themselves with "noble spirits" and masters of their chosen fiefs and through the use of their power Tenure they can control all aspects of it. They're obsessed with courtesy and politeness when it comes to their territories and they can be either terribly doting individuals, full of graciousness and honor to those who are considered associates and welcome within their territory, or horrible enemies who are filled with utter contempt and hatred for individuals who have intruded or broken the laws of their lands.

Unlike many Gangrel, the Annunaku are comfortable in the oppressive metal and concrete kingdoms of the other Kindred in a city, and indeed many of them have taken to cities in order to sate the desire to lord over vassals.

The type of Landlord can differ greatly, but the one thing they have in common is the fact that all of them wish to rule over a fief - whether it be an entire city, a single domain, an apartment block or even a slum.

Nickname: Landlords

Parent Clan: Gangrel

You can find more about this bloodline in the Invictus book.

House Rules

Weakness: Annunaku retain the animalistic minds of other Gangrel. The 10-again rule does not apply to dice pools involving Intelligence or Wits, and any 1’s rolled are subtracted from the number of successes. This weakness does not apply to dice pools involving perception or reaction to surprise, and subtracted successes do not turn a normal failure into a dramatic failure.

The Landlords’ powerful connection to their Demesne(s) also renders them uncomfortable when they leave. Outside of her chosen Demesne(s) a Landlord suffers because of her anxious yearning for her home turf or her uneasy awareness of being out of her element. He may not, under any circumstances, spend a Willpower point to augment a dice pool roll or a resistance trait. The only places that are exempt from this rule are Elysiums or a place that is considered sacred for one evening (such as a Court, but not a standard meeting area) in which case, the Landlord may spend Willpower normally. However, the Landlord is more comfortable at home, so while they are heavily out of their element outside of their chosen Demesne(s), within it they are king. Willpower points spent within a Landlord's chosen Demesne(s) allow for a +4 bonus to regular rolled pools and a +3 to resistance traits (instead of the +3 to dice pools and +2 to resistance traits normally yielded).

The Annunaku's power of Tenure has been house ruled and modified from the book's version. Please use our version.
