Description

Both the Union's local headquarters and the hiring hall reside in a squat, ugly concrete building a few blocks down from McCarran International Airport. It's fairly nondescript except for a small, dirtied and dull sign that proclaims it the home of the American Railway Union, Local Chapter 81. The main entrance leads directly into the hiring hall and usually has no small number of transport workers and trainmen waiting around to get a work ticket to unload railroad cars.

Ducking off to one side is a little hallway leading to the various bureaucratic offices and the Secretary-Treasurer's office. It's not uncommon to see some of the higher-ups in Las Vegas' organized crime world traversing these halls regularly, but Treasurer, Ike “Red” Cohen, seems to only deal with a very few select people directly.

Benefit

Customs? What Customs? Red may be corrupt, stealing, lying, and cheating at every chance he gets to line his own pockets and his Union's coffers, but he's also probably the most knowledgeable man about what happens on the rails. He knows when trains are coming in. He knows whats on them and he knows which ones customs officers are going to check. A character with this site benefit using the “Intercept small shipments of goods, animals or machinery” Underworld allies action will automatically gain +2 successes to any roll.
