Albuquerque
The Carthian Movement have always seen Albuquerque as a place they could revamp towards their desired end. When the city started to flounder in the middle of the twentieth century, like many other American cities, they organized a marketed attempt to bring in a large number of Carthians from other areas in the city who were willing to try and create the idealized city. The plan was considered ambitious at best. But they wanted it. They brought in Carthians who were city planners and technical masterminds, they helped to reform the city with their own money, and money taken on loan for favors from the Invictus and other covenants within the Hold. Now, their shining example that the Experiment really can work within a city, really can create a perfect environment for Kindred without the feudalistic system that is forced into existence from a small age, is the budding and rapidly populating city of Albuquerque. Now that they’ve created their perfect city, where the Kindred are able to hunt without fear of cameras, while giving the mortals the illusion of a safe, family-city, other problems are cropping up, ones they hadn’t foreseen. Greed rules Kindred, and unless they can sate the appetites of the greedy Kindred within, their perfectly mastered Experiment may be in jeopardy. Not to mention, some of those Kindred who took out those debts for money and favors in road construction and rail lines, well, they haven’t exactly paid them off yet...
