The House of the Gods

The following description is the renovated appearance of the Estate, effective July 26, 2008.

The Estate

Aedes Deuxeimes lies on the northern edge of the North Atlanta district. The surrounding area of this sector of North Atlanta is expansive and private, with a few large estates holding most of the real estate. The grounds of the estate are surrounded entirely by an iron security fence, hidden craftily by the shrubs that blossom along it's borders, several climbing flowers attaching to the bars giving it a natural look. The only entrance onto the grounds is the main gate, centrally located in the southern wall of the fence, overlooked by an adjoined watchmen house. A long grand driveway sweeps through the majestic trees of the estate, which block view of the mansion from outside, and circles back upon itself at the grand front entrance of the mansion. The northern quadrant of the grounds hosts several expansive greenhouses and a large kennel which appears to be sturdy enough and laid out appropriately to house an animal as large as a horse. The east quadrant of the grounds hosts the more social functionality of the mansion's outdoor activities, it is here that the pool, jacuzzi and deck are all found. The west quadrant of the grounds hosts the grandest of all gardens, by any comparison. The mansion itself, build to Victorian style design is seemingly well maintianed. The complex itself consists of a large focal structure that is three stories tall and casts a formidable shadow over the grounds with it's towering sky rise and decor. Four one story structures split off as wings from the central structure, cutting the grounds diagonally, separating them into cardinal quadrants, at least the immediate grounds.

The Interior

The interior of the mansion is decorated in deep Victorian style, utilizing rich colors and sharp accents. But the house has been highlighted with various pieces of classical looking art to suggest the diverse pantheon appreciation that the inhabitants share. The flooring of the mansion, save for the plush carpet in selected living rooms, is a strong elegant granite and is often covered by masterfully crafted Persian rugs. When the walls are not decorated with various pieces of art playing to the religious nature of the house, they are fashioned with murals and paintings of the Victorian style and have mythological or abstract themes. In the middle of the mansion lies a garden, eerie in the beauty it possesses. The garden is encapsulated fully by the building, but through focused crystals and a glass roof is accessible to light during the day. At night the crystals and the moon give a wonderfully mellow glow of the various orchids, violet carsens, and exotic plants that sprawl through it. The water system feeding the garden is complex but gives off a small gently ring before it soaks the garden, giving any visitors plenty of time to escape the shower. Currently the garden is near completion, many flowers however are newly transplanted and work continues each night. There are two elevators in the building, one at the front of the mansion near the lobby, the other tucked into the back; but both need keys to operate to the third level. Several stair cases lead to the higher levels as well, and they are positioned ideally around the manor. To the east of the house lays the underground tunnel that leads out to the garage that is positioned past the pool and recreational grounds.

Ground Floor

The main building hosts the largest number of rooms, the ground floor rooms being the most diverse of the three floors. Like most large housing complexes the main foyer leads of to a mud room and the right and functions as the beginning of a large hallways leading further into the mansion. This hallway leads to the courtyard that circles around the exterior of the garden and provides linked access to the other rooms of the main floor. The various living rooms and dining rooms littering the ground floor are each decorated in a vastly different style, but maintain the strong rich colors and sharp accents that define the house. The ground floor also houses the kitchen, the ballroom, an interior pool, sauna, fitness room and in the back of the mansion, off limits to every visitor is the security room, monitoring the entire grounds.

Second Floor

The second floor of the mansion is decorated in the same Victorian style, but it is noticeable that the religious connotations of the house are limited in the higher floor. The second floor hosts the various luxury guest rooms, selected offices (three of which are off limits), the Acolyte library (equally off limits), a mediation room and a small computer lab.

Third Floor

The third floor is dedicated to storages and the servant quarters.

Lower Level

Simple white wallpaper is the only decorated feature about the mundane basement. The basement is easily accessible and is often littered with various things as it holds extra storage rooms, the boiler room, a laundry room that is connected through chutes on each floor, and hidden access to the safe room.

Resident Quarters

Each offset wing is connected to the main structure by an expansive hallway that is decorated with the same sharp Victorian manner as much of the rest of the house. Each quarter has three rooms and a large bathroom, decorated and functioning independently for the occupants chosen wishes.

Northeastern Wing

The northeastern wing currently houses the quarters of Rose. Guarding the entrance to her quarters, at the end of the hallway on either side are two Voudan sculptures, one of Erzulie Dantor and the other of Mamam Brigette.

Northwestern Wing

The northwestern wing currently houses the quarters of Alex LaCoste. As well, one of his rooms houses the personal quarters of Jade Kimura. Guarding the entrance to his quarters, at the end of the hallway overlooking the door are two Voudan sculptures, one of Kalfu and the other of Bugid Y Abi.

Southwestern Wing

The southwestern wing currently houses the quarters of Keisha Njiri. Guarding the entrance to her quarters, at the end of the hallway on either side are two Ashanti sculptures, one of Anasasi and the other Nymba.

Southeastern Wing

The southeastern wing is currently empty.

Hidden Area

First Floor Hiding Room

This room was designed in the architectural plans to be a clever place to conceal janitorial and servant equipment. A small portion of wall in one of the hallways on the eastern side slides back to reveal a currently empty room.

Subterranean Level

This area is buried below the basement and is accessible in two ways. The most conventional way is the elevator at the back of the mansion. The usual key card is needed to access the lowest area, but a unique key combination also needs to be entered. Upon that the elevator will lower itself to the hidden area. There is no verifiable evidence that the elevator is capable of doing this. The other access point in housed in the safe room. A wall panel in the safe room swivels to reveal a stairwell leading down toward a door with a keycard lock. Either entrance opens to an undecorated, cement walled hallway.

This hallways has four doors in it.:

● The first door leads to another hallway, which has doors opening to several small apartments, and one towards a third hallway. Each apartment is simply decorated and furbished, having only a bed, desk and a single chair, and not much room for something else. In one of the rooms the bed has been removed, and the walls are lined with book cases, still empty at the moment.
● The second door leads towards a small hallway, which has three holding cells and an interrogation room, all sound proofed. There is one more door which leads towards the third hallway.
● The third door leads towards a small room, with two doors in it, one made out of heavy metal and has a key card lock. This door opens up into the sewers. The other door leads towards the third hallway.
● The fourth door leads trough a small hallway, which eventually opens up in a alien scene. It seems to be some kind of grotto, with alien plants growing on the sides. The plants include several fungi, which grows on the stones, ferns. Roots can be seen coming trough the ceiling, and have twisted about something which seems to be a pillar. The pillar has several basins in it. There is one other exit of the worship room, it leads towards the third hallway, which connects all the hallways together, making sure there is always a second exit.

Description

The estate of Aedes Deuxiemes lies on the edge of the North Atlanta district. The buildings in this part of town are few and far apart, most having large area’s of land around them. Part of the estate are several acres worth of gardens, that lie around the mansion. The mansion itself lies in the centre of them, and is facing south. The entire estate is surrounded by an iron security fence, which has a gate in it. A long driveway passes trough the gate and leads to the front of the house, where it makes a circle, passing the garage as well. The lands around the estate currently seem to be unkempt and somewhat wild. Behind the house are several greenhouses, and a few, strong looking kennels. They seem quite sturdy. Sturdier and larger than they would need to be for dogs. The building itself is in a Victorian gothic style, and seems to be in a good state. The house exists of a main part, which is three stories high, with four one story wings leading away from it. The main part possesses countless high, narrow windows. The ones right next to the main entrance contain stained glass.

Inside

The inside of the mansion is decorated in a Victorian style. The interior is mostly dominated by antique furniture and paintings. The floor seems to be made of granite, and is often covered by antique looking carpets. The walls are decorated by large wall carpets, murals, or paintings from the Victorian style painters. In the middle of the mansion lies a garden, which is completely surrounded by the mansion. The garden is covered by a glass roof, along which several pipes run, obviously for a sprinkler installation to give the garden water in set intervals. The atmosphere is controlled by an climate control system, keeping the humidity and temperature (25° celcius) at the correct levels (varying during the night and day), and will on occasion give the plants water. The system will give out a warning before it starts to give water. The garden is currently in upheaval, and obviously still needs a lot of work before it is done.

Floors

The main building houses a large number of rooms. The ground floor is home to a large amount of different rooms. Upon entering the lobby, one has a mud room to the right. Further down the hallway, one comes upon one of the entrances towards the garden. From there the hallway splices left and right, leading to the other rooms in the house. It houses several living rooms and dining rooms, all decorated with in different style, not all Victorian. This floor also houses the kitchen , a big ballroom, a security room (that’s normally off limits for visitors), a pool, sauna and fitness room. The second floor of the house is decorated in the same style. It houses the guests rooms, a few offices, a library, a mediation room and a computer room. The third floor is dedicated to storages, and the servant quarters. The wings hold the private quarters of the people staying in the house. Each quarter has 3 rooms and a bathroom, which can be decorated and designed at their own wishes. The north-east wing houses the quarters of Keisha Njiri, Rose and Yuri Konstantin. The north-west wing houses the quarters of Alex LaCoste and Ciara Dolan. The west wing houses the quarters of Nadia Kissenger. The east wing is currently empty. Every floor has bathrooms put in strategic locations. Oddly enough, allof the hallways of the house are designed without windows, except for the lobby. There are two elevators in the building, one at the front of the house near the lobby, and one at the back, both need keys if one wants to go up to the third floor. There are also several stair cases around the house. At the right side of the house is a door that leads to the garage. It takes you down a small stairs, and then leads you trough an underground passage towards the garage, protecting the residents from bad weather when going to their cars.

Basement

The basement is not decorated in the same style as the rest of the house. Rather, there is simple white wallpaper. This part of the mansion houses several storage rooms, the boiler-room, a laundry room (with chutes leading from every floor), and the safe room.

Hidden area’s

There are several area’s in the house that are separated and hidden from the rest of the house. One is in one of the cleaning closets near the right wing of the mansion. One of the walls slides back and reveals a hidden room. This room is currently still empty. The other area is below the basement and can be accessed in two ways. One is the elevator at the back of the house. Here one requires the key, and needs to push the buttons in a certain order to get the elevator to drop go to the hidden floor. It opens up to a small area, with another door which has a key card lock. The other access point is in the safe room. One of the walls swivels away to reveal a stairwell leading down towards a door with a keycard lock. This hidden part of the house is not decorated at all, and has simple cement walls. Both of the key card doors open to the main hallway.
