• William Talbit begins to take a greater interest in clan affairs, and tries for the position of Daeva Priscus, despite his young age. The other Daeva merely scoff at him and no further attention is paid to the matter.

• Chas Houston rises from torpor. For the most part, he sets forth trying to regain any semblance of civility with Anna Shearing, though it's pretty obvious how she feels about him.
