This Internet Relay Chat (IRC) server is private, and thus is not open to the public for any reason. The only individuals who use this server should be players or administrators of Suspire Roleplaying Network (SRN). If you are neither, then you should leave.

The SRN server(s) are hosted and located physically within the United States of America. Thus, we require all players to use English as their primary language in all public Channels. If you are not an English speaker, or you do not wish to use it, then you are not welcome on SRN.

Because this is a private server, operators of SRN are allowed to use any means necessary to prevent or circumvent unauthorized access and at their discretion.

Because this is a free service to all members of SRN, it is possible that we may not be able to provide support for troublesome connections. However, it should be noted that all operators of SRN strive to assist people at all times with any troubles they may be having. If you are having trouble, you should join the channel #gamehelp or if there is no one there, you should send an email carefully explaining your situation to natasha <szantovitch@gmail.com>.

Due to the mature content of any and all White Wolf games, we require all of SRN's players to be at least 18 years of age. SRN operators reserves the right to restrict access to any underage individual, or restrict access to any person that shows a lack of demonstrated maturity as determined by SRN operators.

Finally, SRN operator and storyteller privileges are granted, not given out. Do not ask.

All individuals who play or are an operator or administrator on SRN need to familiarize themselves and act in accordance with the following important document: Suspire.org's Acceptable Use Policy

Connections are allowed on the following ports: 6660-6669. It's recommended that you connect to a port other than the default 6667, as it will probably be faster. There is also a SSL/Encrypted connection available on port +6697.

We do not allow multiple connections unless approved by SRN staff. One per user.

Anti-idling, auto-rejoin on disconnect or kick or any auto-reconnect settings, scripts or options are not allowed on SRN. Please disable them. Also, please do not excessively idle on this network. It's a gaming network, sign on to game and chat with other players!

Finally, it's important to point out that IRC is an unmoderated medium, thus SRN cannot be held responsible for any connection of users to our server(s). If you have a problem with another user on this server, please speak first with SRN staff, and then, if you need to, report the problematic user to their ISP.

Anyone suspected of being a loser and attempting to hack SRN or mislead and violate any of it's users with "trojan" files will have all access removed from the network, it's adjoining web server, be reported to all agencies of the law (if necessary, international law) as well as their ISP. You have been warned.

Any harassment of users or staff, or abuse of server policy and rules is grounds for a ban with the length of time chosen at SRN staff's discretion. Attempting to ban-evade or purposely cause more trouble over a temporary ban will immediately be grounds for a permanent and non-removed ban from all access to this network. You have been warned.

Being in-character doesn't mean you still can't be /killed.

There are some No's to be aware of as well: No bots that are not official SRN bots. No mass-messaging, mass-inviting or spamming. No faking or altering your userid unless allowed by SRN staff. No unsolicited advertising.

Failure to be aware of the /motd or server policy and rules is not a valid excuse for anything. Just because the kid doesn't know the gun is loaded does not mean if he shoots someone it's not his fault. All server policies are easily found on the server. If you have any questions, you should take them to a member of Staff in the #gamehelp channel. If you are offended or consider anything above unacceptable, you must type /quit now.
