Experience Points (XP)

The word that every player loves to hear and see (even if they pretend they don't). The word Experience means the same thing as Reward on Suspire. After all, shouldn't you be rewarded for the backstabbing, malicious plotting and heroics that your character does throughout the course of play?

Gaining Experience

Experience (XP) is a simple concept. Once a week, everyone taking XP for that previous week (Sunday-Saturday) requests an xp claim through the website (the submit xp claim link on the sidebar is only visible if you have an approved character) to the Storytellers. The Storytellers will view the requests and approve, deny or add bonuses to your claim for exemplary play. It should not take more than 48 hours to process a claim.

How Much Should I Claim?

We go by a 1-XP-per-day-played system. Sitting in character for 10 minutes isn't considered playing, but dedicating a couple hours is.

However, Storytellers do give bonuses for things like goals accomplished within the game, IC-Events held by your character and character supplementation (such as journals) but you cannot get XP for them alone, you must play and interact. However, it should be noted that if your character is not active in public channels frequently, you may find your XP claim to be less as we feel that interaction is key, and hermiting it up isn't really what we're looking for.

Spending Experience

When you would like to spend XP on your character, we ask that you send in an XP spends request form. This, like the requesting weekly xp, is also a function of the website that will appear once you have an approved character. It should not take more than 24 hours to process a spend.
