First off, thanks for at least having the interest in donating to our game to come here and glance at this page. We hope you enjoy playing on Suspire as much as we do running it for you. As with anything, while free services to others are free at their end, someone is having to foot the bill for hosting, bandwidth, dnsing and other assorted fees (like maintenance when things blow up). While we are always keeping Suspire as a free-to-play game for anyone with granted access to the game, these fees don't pay themselves. That's why this page exists! You are not under any compulsion whatsoever to pay Suspire Roleplaying Network, no matter how long you've played with us, that's why this is called a "donation page".

Now to the nitty gritty of generally what sort of costs are put into the server on a month-to-month basis, as well as yearly fees, so you can see exactly where all donated money goes; note this doesn't even account for if something breaks on the server and has to be replaced immediately with over-nighting expenses:

Dedicated BandwidthWhat is "Dedicated Bandwidth"? Basically, bandwidth is everything that goes on with the server from you to the server and the server to you. This covers the graphics that show up to you on the website, to the bots updating your statistics when you spend blood on the IRC server.	Monthly	$65	$780
Static IPWhat is a "Static IP"? A Static IP locates Suspire to the internet. It never changes, so everyone's internet provider doesn't have to keep searching for it, which can lead to sometimes downtime if a person's ISP doesn't update frequently. By having a Static IP, this keeps this frequent changing IP problem from occurring, to ensure good uptime and connectivity.	Monthly	$15	$180
DNSWhat is "DNS"? DNS, in it's simplest explanation, connects the Static IP of the server to the "www.suspire.org" that you type into your browser window to find Suspire's website and the "irc.suspire.org" for IRC.	Yearly	$50	$50
Suspire.org DomainWhat is the "Suspire.org Domain"? Simply put, this is the "www.suspire.org" ownership that all websites have to have. That's it.	Yearly	$25	$25
Domain Privacy ProtectionWhat is "Domain Privacy Protection"? Domain Privacy Protection exists to protect the website owner, natasha, from everyone under the sun being about to do a common whois on any domain website and getting the address where the server's bills and information is sent to. Furthermore, it keeps a Domain Registrar from being scammed for takeover a domain illegally and without permission. Information and phone calls must be made to the owner, natasha, before any changes are made to the Suspire.org domain. This has come into play twice since Suspire Roleplaying Network has been operational. Some people, sadly, are psycho. Good thing she had this!	Yearly	$20	$20

So, as you can see, things can get expensive, especially if like in 2009 when some parts of the server died unexpectedly and had to be replaced quickly (which wound up costing around $700 in total to replace the vital parts).
